AVD Cleaning Process

Cleaning Process Stages Overview

Pre-Cleaning Phase: Hot solvent (60–80°C) from the stainless steel tank is sprayed onto the parts via jets in the washing chamber. This removes up to 90% of contaminants, with the used solvent and waste drained into the still for recovery. The process is pre-programmed and can involve basket movement (rotation, oscillation, or static) for optimised cleaning.

Fine Cleaning Phase: The parts are immersed in fresh, hot solvent. Nearly all remaining contaminants are removed during this phase, with an option to include ultra sonics for high precision applications. The slightly warmed solvent is then returned to the tank for reheating and reuse in the next cycle.

Vapour Rinsing Phase: Distilled solvent vapours are generated using an independent boiler and vacuum system. The vapour condenses on the parts for a final rinse, raising their temperature in preparation for drying, and penetrating into even the most complex and difficult to reach component geometries.

Vacuum Drying Phase: The chamber pressure is reduced to accelerate solvent evaporation, improving drying speed and efficiency.

Ease of Use:

Straightforward operation with automated processes that minimise manual intervention.

  • Reduced Maintenance: Minimal downtime with a design that allows the machine to run 24/7 without the need for frequent shutdowns for cleaning.
  • Safety: Sealed system reduces operator exposure to harmful chemicals, making it safer than traditional open systems.
  • Cost Efficiency: Lower total cost of ownership compared to other technologies due to reduced chemical usage and waste management.
  • Investment Protection: Future-proofing ensures that the machine can adapt to upcoming regulatory changes, avoiding the need for costly upgrades or replacements.
  • Competitive Pricing: Historically this equipment has had a high capital cost however with the new technologies being implemented these costs have come down significantly making these systems much more affordable with a low entry level cost for a  high spec system.
  • Low Emissions: Sealed design results in minimal environmental impact, complying with stringent safety and environmental regulations.
  • Sustainability: The use of modified alcohol, a non-carcinogenic solvent, aligns with green initiatives and reduces health risks.
  • Minimal Waste: The machine’s design ensures that the solvent is continually recycled within the system, reducing hazardous waste output.

    • Ideal for High-Volume Cleaning: Suitable for applications involving high oil loads, complex geometries, and components with blind holes.
    • Industries Served: Aerospace, automotive, precision engineering, and other sectors requiring rigorous cleaning standards.
    • Component Types: Screws, fasteners, machined parts, and other complex components.

Range of basket sizes to suit all applications.
