Advanced aqueous cleaning for precision, repeatable and controlled industrial cleaning processes.
Fraser Technologies is pleased to announce the launch of the Miele ExpertLine PLW 8636, a new industrial aqueous cleaning machine available in the UK through Fraser Technologies as Miele’s UK sole partner.
Designed for industrial parts cleaning using a spray-in-air aqueous cleaning process, the PLW 8636 combines powerful cleaning performance with precise process control, process monitoring and repeatable results.
For manufacturers where technical cleanliness is critical to component quality, performance and durability, the PLW 8636 provides a controlled and flexible platform for developing and maintaining an effective aqueous cleaning process.
Designed around process control
The Miele PLW 8636 combines a powerful variable-speed circulation pump with optimised spray arms and precise dosing pumps and sensors.
With a maximum circulation rate of 600 litres per minute, cleaning pressure can be adapted to different components and process stages. This allows particulate and film-type contamination to be removed efficiently while providing the flexibility to clean sensitive components more gently.
Process monitoring is built into the system, including spray pressure, spray arm, conductivity and temperature monitoring, helping manufacturers maintain greater control over critical cleaning parameters.
Repeatable cleaning for technical cleanliness
The PLW 8636 features a freely programmable PLC, with 26 programmes supplied as standard and capacity for up to 50 freely programmable customer programmes. This allows cleaning processes to be configured around different components, contamination types and production requirements.
The machine’s fresh-water system is designed for ultrafine cleaning of precision parts, with Miele highlighting its ability to achieve the desired technical cleanliness reliably and reproducibly.
Powerful cleaning and advanced drying
The PLW 8636 incorporates DryPlus hot-air drying with HEPA H14 filtration. The HEPA filter has a filtration efficiency of 99.99% according to the supplied specification.
The machine is designed to provide the cleaning and drying performance required for demanding industrial applications, with Miele identifying VDA 19 and ISO 16232 as relevant technical cleanliness requirements for which the machine can form a basis.
Flexible industrial applications
The Miele ExpertLine PLW 8636 is suitable for a wide range of industrial applications, including:
- Electronics
- Watch and jewellery manufacturing
- Optical instruments and glass
- Medical technology
- Metalworking
- High-purity applications
- 3D printing
Optional passivation and an external recycling tank connection provide further opportunities to configure the cleaning process around specific application requirements.
Technical specification
The PLW 8636 has a compact 900 mm wide × 1,430 mm high × 700 mm deep net machine footprint, with the Miele sales documentation specifying an additional 100 mm wall gap. Its usable wash cabinet measures 470 × 530 × 520 mm, with a 146-litre usable cabinet capacity.
Fraser Technologies can support manufacturers in evaluating their cleaning requirements, assessing the suitability of aqueous cleaning and developing the appropriate process around the Miele ExpertLine PLW 8636.
